The 2016 UCSD-Morehouse-Spelman UC-HBCU Bridge Program class has been selected, and includes four students from Morehouse College and one student from Spelman. These were selected from among 10 students who applied, on the basis of GPA, research interests and recommendations from faculty and mentors.
The UCSD-Morehouse Physics Bridge program has selected its first class of Bridge Scholars for 2014. They are (from left to right): Christian Aganze (2nd year, Physics/Electrical Engineering), Jeremy Ariche (2nd year, Physics), Saidou N’gaide’ (2nd year, Applied Physics/Aerospace Engineering), Julian Pilate-Hutcherson (3rd year, Applied Physics/Civil Engineering) and Jarrhett Butler (4th year, Applied Physics/Nuclear Engineering). Each of these students will be paired with one the UCSD faculty mentors for an 8-week research position and graduate preparation training.
